With folk music as an underlying theme, Carel Kraayenhof and Mariëtta Petkova perform works by Bach, Schubert, and Piazzolla, among others, in "Hand van de Beer" (Hand of the Bear). The music is interspersed with personal stories, such as their shared fascination for the legendary classical pianist Sviatoslav Richter, whose giant hand once enveloped little Mariëtta's child's hand. Carel previously wrote a poetic piano piece as a tribute to Richter, which he later renamed "Ruka na Metchka" or Hand of the Bear, especially for Petkova.
