Beach Excursion Searching for Shells and Fossils

Join a relaxing and educational shell and fossil walk on the beach of Westerschouwen! Guided by Digna and Hester, you'll discover where, when, and how to find beautiful shells and fossils. During the two-hour walk, you'll also learn more about marine life and the treasures the sea leaves behind on the shore.

Thanks to sand replenishment, there’s much more on the beach than you might usually notice. By looking carefully, focusing, and sometimes getting down on your knees, you’ll uncover surprising finds. Searching is not only exciting but also a wonderful way to enjoy the surrounding nature.

The walk is suitable for all ages, but children can only participate under the supervision of an adult. Dogs are not recommended. Our guides speak Dutch, English, and German, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this special experience. Pre-registration is required.
