Molen Den Haas
Looking for a special attraction in Zierikzee? Visit the historic Molen Den Haas! This corn mill dates back to 1727 and is located on the Bolwerk. With its round stone platform and impressive flight of 23.80 meters, it is a true eye-catcher.
Did you know that there used to be a post mill at this location? In 1723, it was demolished and the owners of the mill De Flesse requested permission to build a new mill. This is how the corn mill Den Haas was created, where regular milling took place until 1953. After a period of decline, the mill was restored in 1984 and put back into use in 1987.
