S-Goods Renesse

S-Goods was founded fifteen years ago by Ben and Truus Kaan. Together, they have experienced every aspect of the sports business. Ben was a professional footballer, store manager at Daka, buyer for Intres, advertiser, commercial advisor, “shop doctor” and market trader. Truus was head of sales promotion and park coordination at Center Parcs, sales trainer for, among others, Intersport, and together with Ben she ran their commercial consultancy and later their market stall.

For several years, Ben and Truus sold sports and leisure shoes and clothing at various weekly markets in Zeeland and South Holland, including Wednesdays in Renesse. When the opportunity arose, they decided to exchange the market stall for a store at Lange Reke 17 in Renesse. This shop had a floor area of approximately 50 m² — and nearly double that during good weather, when merchandise was displayed outside.

After five years, they moved to a larger store a few doors down, at number 11, complete with a storage room and kitchen. The space was more than three times the size of the previous shop. Yet their ambition continued to grow beyond the store’s size.

An important reason for taking the step to an even larger store was the equally driven Pim Kaan, who officially took over the business in January 2023. From a young age, Pim helped his parents in the shop. After completing his studies in Commercial Economics, he became co-owner of S-Goods and gradually took on more responsibilities — from purchasing and store presentation to staff training and budgeting.

With the expanded store, customers now have more space to browse, and the layout has been redesigned for easier shopping. On the ground floor, you will find the women’s sneaker wall, the kids’ corner (sizes 17 to 40), the women’s clothing department, the Brunotti women’s shop and the flip-flop wall. On the first floor, you will find men’s clothing, the men’s sneaker wall, the Skechers shop, the Brunotti men’s shop, the casual/hiking department and the junior clothing section.

Since April 2020, S-Goods has also launched its own webshop. The webshop is directly linked to the store’s inventory in Renesse, allowing you to browse the collections before your visit.
