Molen De Haan
Molen De Haan is a beautiful piece of heritage located on the Noordwal of the ramparts. It is a unique mill because it was originally built as a low stage mill, but later lowered to a ground-sailer. This makes Molen De Haan probably the only mill in the world to have undergone this transformation.
Although the mill lost its function as a mill in 1954, it was restored and converted into a holiday home in 1965. During the renovation, only one pair of grinding stones remained, and some of the original interior disappeared. Nevertheless, Molen De Haan remains a beautiful piece of history and well worth a visit.
