Ever since her youth, Daniëlle Wassink wanted to study physiotherapy. It didn't happen at the time, but due to her strong passion and interest in the human body, she eventually started training in sports massage. "From there, I kept learning more and more specifically. I even started delving into horses and dogs." Daniëlle has a sports massage practice at home, and for treating animals, she usually works on location. While humans can express what they're feeling, it's different with animals. "For me, the biggest challenge is to treat and resolve issues. It's like solving a puzzle—where does something come from? There are so many techniques to apply. When someone notices their horse is moving better and I see an improvement in mobility, that's very fulfilling." Over time, Daniëlle has specialized to the point where her expertise goes beyond just sports massage. "The anatomy of a body simply fascinates me. I'm always evolving by taking courses for technique and anatomy." Occasionally, she may not be able to solve a complaint. In those cases, she collaborates with other therapists and doctors. "We complement each other well.
