2. Schelphoek
In the ring dike stands a large Phoenix caisson, originally built for the Normandy landing on D-Day (June 6, 1944). After the 1953 North Sea Flood, it was used to close the breach at the Gemene Geul. Next to the caisson, an information point has been set up.
