Liberation route Europe | Water en Vuur Zijpe
On November 5, 1944, the Lake Superior Regiment (Canada) launched an attack on German ships in the Vluchthaven of Zijpe to destroy them. During this action, there were German casualties and wounded. In addition, Canadian soldiers went ashore for reconnaissance in Bruinisse and took several German prisoners of war back with them.
