Although Bouwbedrijf Boogert is based in Oosterland, you can find their work all over the island and especially in Burgh-Haamstede. This family-owned business was established in 1890. Director Hans Boogert is now the fourth generation at the helm. And while things have changed over those 130+ years, the passion for building well and solidly remains the foundation. Bouwbedrijf Boogert primarily operates as a contractor in Zeeland and South Holland and is versatile, with monument restoration as a specialization. Hans Boogert says, 'Recently, we obtained our ERM certificate, which ensures that we work according to the generally recognized guidelines for restoration quality in monument preservation. However, we master all disciplines, have our own carpentry workshop, are self-sufficient in equipment, and have our own project development.' According to Hans, the flat organization with very short lines makes Boogert a flexible, innovative company that can quickly respond to demand and changes. 'And of course, we have a lot of knowledge and experience in-house. What we don't know, we consult with experts. That's why we enjoy building in a construction team; it allows us to optimize the use of knowledge and skills from all disciplines.
