Without a visit to the Pancake Windmill, your stay in Burgh-Haamstede wouldn't be complete. That's something anyone who has visited before can attest to. The iconic mill, De Graanhalm, has been in the Landegent family for decades. The flour for the baked goods is still ground on-site. The new generation, Marius Landegent, Kiki Meijer, and their team, make sure every day that you leave with a cheerful feeling and a well-filled stomach. Dining at the Pancake Windmill is enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age. Find a cozy spot in the large garden, near the playground or nestled in the orchard. But even inside the restaurant, you'll have a pleasant time and won't get bored. Just watching the bakers at work with the hot pans is an experience in itself. Marius says, 'What we do here is like a competitive sport. We aim to be the best at what we do and strive for the complete package. Quality comes first. We're often busy, but we absolutely want our guests to be able to eat and enjoy comfortably.' And before you leave, make sure to stop by the mill shop for a unique souvenir, delightful baking mix, or a special mill beer. Kiki adds, 'A few years ago, we started brewing our own Westhoek beers, and now we have six varieties. The products in the shop are truly our own and authentic; we try to come up with new things every year. That keeps us on our toes, and it never gets dull!
