Molen De Zwaan
Welcome to Molen De Zwaan, a beautiful corn mill from 1886 located on Oude Hoofdweg in Moriaanshoofd (Kerkwerve). This black octagonal ground-sailer replaced an older post mill in 1866 and is a valuable piece of cultural heritage.
Molen De Zwaan was powered by wind until 1968. Unfortunately, the mill was idle after that and fell into disrepair. Luckily, in 2002/2003, a thorough restoration was carried out and the mill was made fully operational again.
Would you like to visit Molen De Zwaan and enjoy its beautiful historical ambiance? You can! The mill can be visited by appointment and regularly operates. During your visit, you can see the miller at work and learn more about the history of the mill and the milling of grain.
