Molen De Hoop Zierikzee
Discover the historic Molen De Hoop Zierikzee. The first wooden mill was built on this location in 1788, and was replaced by a stone mill in 1850. After a fire in 1874, the mill was restored and now stands on a platform over 12 meters high.
As the youngest of the two flour mills in the city, Molen De Hoop Zierikzee still grinds grain and is open every Saturday throughout the year from 9 am to 12 pm. In July and August, it is also open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Come and admire the craftsmanship of the miller as he grinds grain, and learn more about the rich history of this landmark. Don't miss this opportunity to experience one of the most iconic sights of Zierikzee.
