Viane
Right on the edge of the Oosterschelde lies the former hamlet of Viane. Farmers used to bring the beets by horse and cart to the harbour, where they were weighed and transported by ship to destinations such as Dinteloord. At Viane’s small harbour, a weighbridge was installed for this purpose, and it can still be found here today.
