Molen Den Haas

Visit the historic Molen Den Haas, built in 1727, in Zierikzee. This round stone stelling mill has no less than three pairs of millstones and an impressive wingspan of 23.80 meters.

De Zeelandbrug

The Zeeland Bridge is an imposing structure over five kilometers long, connecting Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland. The Zeeland Bridge was built to replace the ferry connection between Zierikzee and Kats. Since 2015, it has been a National Monument.

Museumhaven Zeeland / Stads- en Commerciewerf

Just outside the Zuidhavenpoort lies the ship restoration yard 'Stads- en Commerciewerf', a nod to Zierikzee’s maritime past. Visit this historic yard and discover the rich history of shipbuilding.

Cameramuseum

The Camera Museum in Zierikzee showcases the history of photography with over 4,000 cameras, a working darkroom, and a 1910 photo studio. Have your picture taken in traditional Zeeland costume and discover the magic of imagery. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 1:00–5:00 PM.

Aart van Zuijen came from a farming family in the Westhoek. He was a socially engaged villager, council member, and football pioneer from the Westhoek. He generously shared with his fellow villagers and dedicated himself to sports and the community.

Oosterland

Oosterland is a charming village with around 2,300 inhabitants, located between Bruinisse and Nieuwerkerk. On the edge of the village lies an expansive creek area, a valuable nature reserve that is not accessible to the public.

Moriaanshoofd

Moriaanshoofd is a small hamlet located along the N59, the main road between Zierikzee and Burgh-Haamstede. This quiet spot lies in the heart of the Plan Tureluur nature reserve and is marked by the historic windmill De Zwaan, an iconic landmark in the area.

A relatively unknown diving spot in Zeeland, yet still an interesting one. From the small spit of land on your left, you can easily enter the water. The seabed is covered with stones from old dike reinforcements.

Zonnemaire

Zonnemaire is a small village with around 755 inhabitants. The name originates from "Sonnemare," referring to the water between the islands of Bommenede and Schouwen. "Sonne" stands for south and "Mare" means water. One of Zonnemaire’s most famous historical residents is Pieter Zeeman.
