Standbeeld Johannes Vijverberg

Johannes Vijverberg (1880–1965) was a teacher and pioneer in bird photography. He photographed more than a hundred bird species and wrote books and articles about nature. His work was internationally recognized and continues to influence nature photography and ornithology.

Standbeeld Adriaan en Janneko Heule

Adriaan and Janneko Heule were dedicated to education and community life in Sirjansland. Their commitment to the school and village is forever honored with a bronze statue by Vincent Krans, donated by the Renesse Foundation.

Ouwerkerk

Nationaal Monument Watersnood 1953

The National Monument Flood Disaster 1953 consists of four caissons, which were recognized as a monument 50 years after the disaster. These caissons can now be visited at the Flood Museum.

Jacob Viergever was a conservationist from Serooskerke who dedicated his life to birds, plants, and shells. Originally a teacher, he became a true expert on nature. He shared his knowledge through publications, lectures, and excursions.
