Varreput

The Varreput, located near the Dikke Toren in Zierikzee, was once used as a rinsing place for fabrics. Woven materials were then stretched out on nearby streets to dry on special frames, known as "ramen." This site is a reminder of the city's rich textile history.

End of pearl route Nobelpoort

The Nobelpoort, one of the last three city gates of Zierikzee. The medieval gate dates back to the 14th century and is located inland.

Standbeeld Witte van Haamstede

Witte van Haamstede, illegitimate son of Floris V, became a Zeeland war hero. He fought bravely for the liberation of Zeeland and lived at Slot Haamstede. His statue by the castle, a tribute to his heroism, was donated by the Renesse Foundation.

RK kerk Sint Willibrordus

The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Willibrord, originally built as a barn church in 1768, received a neoclassical facade in 1842 and became a true church building. It is an important part of the local heritage.

Zierikzee
