Elkerzee

Elkerzee was once a village with a church, school, and shops. Mentioned as Hildchereshe in 1156, later Elegarsee and Elcherzee. After severe damage from the North Sea Flood of 1953, the church was demolished. What remains is a hamlet with a rich history.

Graansilo

The Graansilo in Zierikzee is an iconic industrial monument from 1950 on the Oude Haven. Once built for grain storage, it’s now a striking landmark housing a restaurant and rooftop bar, where history meets modern hospitality with stunning views.

Standbeeld Adriaan Fondse

Adriaan Fondse was born in Zonnemaire and later lived in Oosterland, where he worked as a constable and chief sergeant of the Marechaussee. He was known as just, strict on the law, and outspokenly anti-German.

Dorpsstrand Brouwershaven

Brouwershaven village beach is a cosy spot on Lake Grevelingen, ideal for families and watersports enthusiasts. With shallow water and a sheltered location, it’s perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the view of sailboats and windsurfers.

Standbeeld Antje de Waaij

Antje de Waaij-Blom was born in Dreischor and remained faithful to the traditional Schouwen costume all her life. She became a symbol of a fading tradition and was honored in Dreischor with a statue commemorating her and Zeeland’s rich heritage.

Centrum Bruinisse

Bruinisse has a lively centre with restaurants where you can taste Zeeland mussels. From the village, you can walk straight to the harbour, where mussel boats sail up and down the Oosterschelde.

Den Osse

Den Osse consists of several campsites and a marina. Just behind the dike of the Grevelingenmeer, you’ll find Summio Parc, Port Greve and Camping Den Osse. With a variety of dining options, there's plenty to enjoy for everyone.

Nationaal Park Oosterschelde

Visit the Oosterschelde National Park, a dynamic nature reserve where ebb and flow create unique flora and fauna. The salt and freshwater area is home to thousands of birds, plants, and animals.

Jachthaven en watersportvereniging Den Osse

Discover Jachthaven Den Osse, beautifully located on Lake Grevelingen. This modern marina offers excellent facilities and services for both sailors and motorboat enthusiasts, making it the perfect base for a relaxing day or holiday on the water.

Beldert

De Beldert is a hamlet on Schouwen-Duiveland and the former harbor of Dreischor. Since the damming of the Dijkwater in 1954, it has lost its harbor function. Today, it is a peaceful place with historical value, located within the village limits of Dreischor.

Aart van Zuijen came from a farming family in the Westhoek. He was a socially engaged villager, council member, and football pioneer from the Westhoek. He generously shared with his fellow villagers and dedicated himself to sports and the community.

An unknown dive site located in the middle of a nature reserve where few divers visit. Perhaps that's exactly why it's worth a visit! But only by boat.

Standbeeld hondje Bläsz

Bläsz, the brave little dog from Scharendijke, saved dozens of cows and calves during the 1953 North Sea Flood by driving them to the dike. His heroic deed is commemorated with a statue on Bethlehemplein, donated by the Renesse Foundation.

Molen De Haan

Discover the unique Molen De Haan: a special ground-sailer built in 1724 on the Noordwal. Originally a low platform mill, but later lowered to a ground-sailer. After restoration in 1965, it is now a vacation home.

Strand Ellemeet

Zeeland Buitenland

Brijdorpe

Brijdorpe is a small hamlet first mentioned in 1232. The name refers to the word brij, meaning the muddy, wet soil on which it was built, typical of the Zeeland landscape at the time.

Strand Wilhelminahoeve

Gasthuiskerk
