Noord- en Zuidhavenpoort

Visit the history of Zierikzee by taking a walk along the North and South Haven gates. These impressive city gates were built in the 14th century to protect the harbor.

Hanse Sails

Hanse Sails is the sailmaker of Twan Hanse and his team, established since 2009 at the harbor in the center of Brouwershaven. You can come to Hanse Sails for the creation of new sails and canvas work, but also for all your repairs.

Standbeeld Kornelis Willen Everwijn

Kees Everwijn was born in Zonnemaire and worked as a cartwright, carpenter, and conductor of the harmony Nut en Uitspanning. He grew up in a musical family and contributed to the rich musical life of Schouwen-Duiveland.

Standbeeld Jacob Cats

Jacob Cats, born in Brouwershaven, was an influential 17th-century poet and statesman, known for his moralistic poems. His statue in Brouwershaven was recently restored, and a bronze replica was placed on the Markt to commemorate his legacy.

Varreput

The Varreput, located near the Dikke Toren in Zierikzee, was once used as a rinsing place for fabrics. Woven materials were then stretched out on nearby streets to dry on special frames, known as "ramen." This site is a reminder of the city's rich textile history.

Uitkijktoren Burgh-Haamstede

Visit the observation tower of Burgh-Haamstede and enjoy the view over the forest and dune area of Schouwen-Duiveland.

Scharendijke

Corneliuskerk Noordwelle

The Corneliuskerk in Noordwelle, built in the 14th and 15th centuries, is a historical monument in the heart of the Dorpsring. Admire the craftsmanship of the construction and discover its rich history.

Burghsluis

Burghsluis is a quiet harbour town on the Oosterschelde with a marina and beautiful nature. Nearby is the Plompe Toren, a remnant of the drowned village of Koudekerke.

Strand Vuurtorenpad

The Beach Vuurtorenpad, located at the foot of the iconic Westerlicht lighthouse in Nieuw-Haamstede, is a family beach at the head of Schouwen and is the perfect destination for a day out with the family.

De Zeelandbrug

The Zeeland Bridge is an imposing structure over five kilometers long, connecting Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland. The Zeeland Bridge was built to replace the ferry connection between Zierikzee and Kats. Since 2015, it has been a National Monument.

Molen De Hoop Zierikzee

Strand Speelduin

The Family and Sports Beach Speelduin, located at the foot of the impressive Oosterscheldekering in Westenschouwen. This beach offers plenty of space for families and sports enthusiasts and is a popular destination for beach lovers.

Kerkwerve

Kerkwerve is a village on Schouwen-Duiveland with around 990 inhabitants. It originated around 1200 during the diking of Schouwen. The church is built on a mound, which explains the name. Until 1997, Kerkwerve was part of Middenschouwen and has a historic municipal coat of arms.

Beldert

De Beldert is a hamlet on Schouwen-Duiveland and the former harbor of Dreischor. Since the damming of the Dijkwater in 1954, it has lost its harbor function. Today, it is a peaceful place with historical value, located within the village limits of Dreischor.

Dorpsstrand Viane
