Kees Everwijn was born in Zonnemaire and worked as a cartwright, carpenter, and conductor of the harmony Nut en Uitspanning. He grew up in a musical family and contributed to the rich musical life of Schouwen-Duiveland.

Cameramuseum

The Camera Museum in Zierikzee showcases the history of photography with over 4,000 cameras, a working darkroom, and a 1910 photo studio. Have your picture taken in traditional Zeeland costume and discover the magic of imagery. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 1:00–5:00 PM.

Kerkwerve

Kerkwerve is a village on Schouwen-Duiveland with around 990 inhabitants. It originated around 1200 during the diking of Schouwen. The church is built on a mound, which explains the name. Until 1997, Kerkwerve was part of Middenschouwen and has a historic municipal coat of arms.
