Looperskapelle

Looperskapelle is a small hamlet on Schouwen-Duiveland, named after the chapel of the Loopers family. The name first appeared in 1324. Until 1590, a church stood in the village; the remaining cemetery is now a valuable cultural-historical monument.

De Zeelandbrug

The Zeeland Bridge is an imposing structure over five kilometers long, connecting Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland. The Zeeland Bridge was built to replace the ferry connection between Zierikzee and Kats. Since 2015, it has been a National Monument.

Raadhuis Brouwershaven

The Town Hall of Brouwershaven is a beautiful historic building with a rich history, located at the Markt. Built in 1599, it is an impressive example of Renaissance architecture and a significant landmark in the heart of Brouwershaven.

Standbeeld Jacob Cats

Jacob Cats, born in Brouwershaven, was an influential 17th-century poet and statesman, known for his moralistic poems. His statue in Brouwershaven was recently restored, and a bronze replica was placed on the Markt to commemorate his legacy.

Lutherse kerk Zierikzee

Discover the historic Lutheran church in Zierikzee, located in the former Ravenstein house. Open every Sunday from 10am, it features unique architecture such as arched windows, a wooden vault, and a roof adorned with shields and swans.

Bewaer Schole Burgh-Haamstede

To present Since 1975, the Bewaerschole has been an exhibition space with exhibitions at the (inter)national level. Attention is paid to reflection and imagination. Societal debate is also welcomed.

Strand Jan van Renesseweg

Discover the beautiful Family Beach Jan van Renesseweg, located on the edge of bustling Renesse. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the shimmering North Sea from the beach.

Varreput

The Varreput, located near the Dikke Toren in Zierikzee, was once used as a rinsing place for fabrics. Woven materials were then stretched out on nearby streets to dry on special frames, known as "ramen." This site is a reminder of the city's rich textile history.

Elkerzee

Elkerzee was once a village with a church, school, and shops. Mentioned as Hildchereshe in 1156, later Elegarsee and Elcherzee. After severe damage from the North Sea Flood of 1953, the church was demolished. What remains is a hamlet with a rich history.

Scharendijke

De Vroongronden

Visit the Vroongronden located between Renesse and Haamstede. This open natural area is undulating and inhabited by numerous birds, flowers, and butterflies. Bike on the bike path from or to Renesse and enjoy the breathtaking nature.

Molen Den Haas

Visit the historic Molen Den Haas, built in 1727, in Zierikzee. This round stone stelling mill has no less than three pairs of millstones and an impressive wingspan of 23.80 meters.

End of pearl route Nobelpoort

The Nobelpoort, one of the last three city gates of Zierikzee. The medieval gate dates back to the 14th century and is located inland.

De Haene House

Dating from the 14th century, this merchant's house is one of the largest and oldest preserved private properties in our country and the oldest residential house in Zierikzee.

Oosterland

Oosterland is a charming village with around 2,300 inhabitants, located between Bruinisse and Nieuwerkerk. On the edge of the village lies an expansive creek area, a valuable nature reserve that is not accessible to the public.

In the beautiful city center of Zierikzee, we find the Stadhuismuseum. The changing exhibitions and the masterpieces from the collection bring the past to life.

Serooskerke

Serooskerke is a peaceful village on Schouwen-Duiveland, known for its historic church and rural surroundings. Located near the Oosterschelde, it offers a charming base for walking and cycling routes through the Zeeland landscape.
